30^th September v Hammersmith & Fulham 

In the warm September sunshine there was great turn out  from the home team for the first Match of the season against local rivals Hammersmith & Fulham.

An hour of joint training was split into 3 sessions focusing on Rucks & Mauls; Tackling; and Line passing.  This was followed by 4 matchs.  2 against the Hammers and 2 intra club.   All were hard fought with determined play and tough tackling.

In the first Red v Blue match special mention goes to  David Ambler and Gev Aleaxander for strong forward mauling and Alexander Fassone and Michael Ettlinger for some great breaks from deep.  In the second Ben White & Alfie Roach battled it out up front with notable tackling from Tom Phelps and David Bird.  Miranda Pattison who played in both games had a stormer.

In the matches versus Hammersmith Wasps put up a great performance winning both their games.   My sidelines reporter informs me tries by Tristan Flint and Harry Bird secured victory in the first match with David Ambler and Raphael Picard going over the line in the second.
