Goals of the Wasps FC Referee Section

 1.  Creation of a safe and fun environment for the players by guaranteeing
that from September 2008 all matches played at Twyford Avenue will
be refereed by an RFU (ELRA) qualified referee
.

    2. Encouragement of coaches and others who wish to become referees
by paying for attendance at the RFU Entry Level Referees Award
(ELRA) course and by hosting referee sessions at the club
from time to time throughout the year.

    3. Provision of at least 2 ELRA referees at each age group from 2008 onwards
in order to aid the club in efforts to attain the RFU "Seal of Approval"

    4. Identifying referees who are motivated enough to complete ELRA stage 3
in order to qualify as Society Referees. Note this is a long term goal
and Club Referees may choose to do this at a later time when it suits
        their personal circumstances.

    5.  Using the referee pool to support the Wasps club from the minis up to the
senior sides by  providing referees in the referee section to the most
appropriate club matches based on levels of experience and qualification.

    6. Using the referees to help enforce the new "Wasps FC Code of Conduct" at
the pitch and during matches. This requires that match officials
or spectators refrain from engaging in conduct unbecomming the spirit
of rugby such as: Swearing, Bullying players, abusing referees or coaches
        etc..
